Marcia Stanhope, RN, DSN, FAAN, c Dr. Marcia Stanhope is currently Professor at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing, Lexington, Kentucky. She has been appointed to the Good Samaritan Foundation Chair and Professorship in Community Health Nursing. She has practiced community and home health nursing and has served as an administrator and consultant in home health, and she has been involved in the development of two nurse-managed centers. She has taught community health, public health, epidemiology, primary care nursing, and administration courses. Dr. Stanhope formerly the Associate Dean, directed the Division of Community Health Nursing and Administration at the University of Kentucky for 11 years. She has been responsible for both undergraduate and graduate courses in community-oriented nursing. She has also taught at the University of Virginia and the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Her presentations and publications have been in the areas of home health, community health and population-focused nursing practice, and primary care nursing.
